COX – Mrs. Shirley Cox of Simcoe passed away at Norfolk General Hospital, Simcoe on Saturday, June 2, 2012 in her 77th year. A member of Walsh Baptist Church and a member of Delhi Chapter No. 226, Order of the Eastern Star. The former Shirley Anne Peters, Beloved wife of Auby Cox. Loving mother of Beverley Foster (Dave); Karen Stevens (late Marty); Susan Mailloux (Randy); Brian Cox (Lisa); Barry Cox (Connie); Angela Ogilvie (Rob); Tammy Cox (Greg Stilson) and Tim Cox (Debbie). Cherished grandmother of 18 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren. Dear sister of Trudy Gibson, Ottawa; Joan Holloran, Toronto and Angus Peters, Oakville. Predeceased by her sister Pauline Campbell and brothers Irving & Chuck Peters. Friends called at the Murphy Funeral Home, Delhi for visitation on Tuesday from 2:00 to 4:00 and 7:00 to 9:00 p.m. and for an Eastern Star Service at 6:45 p.m. under the auspices of Delhi Chapter No. 226, O.E.S. A Funeral Service will be held in the Chapel on Wednesday, June 6, 2012 at 11:00 a.m. with Rev. Marc Bertrand officiating. A Private Family Inurnment will follow at a later date. WEAVER – Anna Martha (nee Vokes) of Port Stanley passed away on May 31, 2012 at the age of 86. Beloved wife of Glen Weaver. Anna is survived by her loving children Sonya (Marvin) Marks of Waterford, Glenda Jones of Woodstock, James Weaver of Port Stanley, Mark (Dolores) Weaver of Port Stanley, and Ross Weaver (Laura Burden) of Port Stanley. Sadly missed by 10 grandchildren and 8 great grandchildren. Also survived by siblings Victor (Joyce) Vokes of Simcoe, and Doug (Darlene) Vokes of Batchawana Bay. Predeceased by her brother Robert and his wife Betty Vokes, and two grandchildren – Jamie Weaver and Jason Marks. Anna enjoyed her career as a hairdresser working in her own salon at home, was active in the family business of Weaver Brothers Fisheries, and worked at the St. Thomas-Elgin General Hospital – C.S.R. Unit for 18 years. She was a member of the Royal Canadian Legion Branch #410, and a member of Christ Church Anglican, Port Stanley. Visitation was held at the Shawn Jackson Funeral Home 31 Elgin Street, St. Thomas (519-631-0570) on Sunday, June 3, 2012 from 2:00 – 4:00 p.m. and 7:00 – 9:00 p.m., where the funeral service was held in the chapel on Monday at 11:00 a.m. Interment in Aylmer Cemetery. Central Railway (for eight years) and former Norfolk O.P.P. Officer (Simcoe Detachment) for twenty-eight years, Walt loved golfing with his grandsons, sons and friends). Stephanie was a Child Welfare Supervisor for the Children’s Aid Society. She had a wide circle of friends and co-workers that will miss her, but will hold special memories of her loving spirit. Cherished mother and mother-in-law of Mike and Suzie of Port Dover, Bill of Port Dover, Rick and Lori of Brantford, Janet Wilcox of Simcoe and Laura Wamsley and Phil Hollinger of Oshawa. Proud and devoted grandmother of Adam, R.J., Zach, Kirbie, Brooke, Kelly-Lynn (Andre), Colleen (Cristian), Megan, Ashley (Jeff) and Jared, and great-grandmother of Emma and Hailey. Much loved sister and sister-in-law of Lottie Ciccoloni of Brantford, June and Fred Pegg of Belwood, Renie Wilson of Brantford, Joan, Peg and Jane. Will be missed by her many nieces and nephews. Predeceased by her grandson Ryan, great grandson Connor, brothers Arthur, Gordon and Ronnie, sisters Margaret, Gladys and Lorraine and brothers-in-law Sam and Gord. Mary was a well-known resident of Port Dover, she worked for more than 40 years in Real Estate. She loved sports, and enjoyed bowling and curling. Mary was a loving devoted mother and grandmother and will be sadly missed by her large family and many friends. In keeping with Mary’s wishes, cremation has taken place and a private graveside will be held at a later date. Since it was one of Mary’s favourite days, family and friends are invited to a celebration of life gathering 224 First Ave., Port Dover on Sunday, July 1, 2012 immediately following the parade.
